This official video record of the Duke of York's visit to Hong Kong in March 2006 was commissioned by the British Consulate of Hong Kong. The Royal visit covered only 2 days of official engagements. The video recording of these engagements had to be fast, concise, and — most of all — discreet. I could only use small pro-DV cameras, and no sound recordist. Much of the material had to be captured on-the-fly with little or no time to set up.
I also edited and produced a 3-minute summary of the visit which was shown at an official reception later in the year, and is used by the British Consulate for promotional activities.
Tools: Sony pro DV camera, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro
